Managing Pupil Characteristics

DPR automatically pulls in pupil characteristics from your MIS. You can modify various aspects of the pupil characteristics on DPR.

Creating a characteristic option

1. Manage Pupil Characteristics can be found on the Users page.

2. Scroll down and click New characteristic option

Modifying Pupil Characteristics

1. Manage Pupil Characteristics can be found on the Users page.

2. Selecting the pencil icon allows you to modify that characteristic

3. Once you have selected a pupil characteristic you can carry out various changes such as

• Change how the name appears on DPR
• Modifying the status to active or inactive
• Adding or removing values to that characteristic

Updating Individual Pupils Characteristics

1. Navigate to Users and search for the relevant student

2. Select pupil characteristics and from the drop-downs make the required changes

Please note: Since a student’s characteristics are pulled in from your MIS, any changes you make could be overwritten on the next MIS Sync if the values are different on your MIS. Therefore, it is recommended to make changes on your MIS instead of DPR. The only time it would be useful to modify a student’s characteristics on DPR is if that characteristic is not defined on your MIS (e.g. a custom characteristic option).
