2. How to generate codes

To provide a parent with access to a child's DPR data, administrators can generate a unique access code through DPR Mission Control. After receiving a list of parent email addresses, DPR will automatically generate and email the unique code to the parents. Parents have a 30-day window to redeem the code; after this period, the code will expire automatically.

How to generate codes?

1. Navigate to DPR Mission Control and click the Parents link
2. Click Generate codes and follow the wizard
3. Codes will appear under the 'Codes' tab once they have been generated, which may take up to 30 minutes. If a parent does not receive the code within this timeframe, he/she should check their junk/spam inbox.

Managing codes

The codes tab offers the following functionality:

• View the status of a code
• Search for a particular code based on a student's name or parent's email address
• Delete a code 
• Export codes
  • This feature can be valuable if non-administrators need access to the codes, for instance, during events like parents' evenings to assist parents with onboarding.
