Key Objectives and Pathways

Majority of schools use 4 pathways. pathway A, B, C and D for each subject. With pathway A being for the brightest of students and pathway D being assigned to students who need that extra help. Although you are not limited to 4 pathways this is a good base to start.

Each pathway is linked to a different set of key objectives for a subject, so by assigning students different pathways, you are essentially assigning students different sets of key objectives depending on their needs.

Once your Heads of Departments have finalised the key objectives for their departments you can add them on to DPR in two ways via curriculum builder.

Uploading Key Objectives via CSV file

1. Under curriculum builder, select ‘import key objectives’

2. This will open up a wizard, use the wizard and follow the steps to upload your key objectives

Manually create or edit Key Objectives

1. Under curriculum builder select the subject area

2. Select the subject you would like to create or edit key objectives

3. Select the required year group and click on ‘NEW PATHWAY’

4. Give the pathway a letter e.g. A, B, C or D and type or copy and paste the key objective into the description field. Then click submit

5. Your key objective will appear under the subject

6. You can edit, move and delete the key objectives by hovering over the key objectives and the icons will appear
7. When you move the key objectives the numbers will automatically update sequentially
